Golf
The HDS boys’ golf team finished in 2nd place at this week’s SPAL golf challenge. Congratulations to Carson Hayes, who took 1st place in the tournament! On the girls' side, the team also finished 2nd, with Skylar Haddick earning 2nd place individually.

Soccer
The HDS soccer teams faced off against experienced Calvary teams. Our girls team lost a tough 1-0 game, with a shot just barely missing our goalie in the final seconds. The boys’ team managed a 1-1 tie after Flynn Kilpatrick scored with just 43 seconds left in the game, despite running track the day before!

That’s all for now, Eagles! Keep up the great work, and we’ll see you at the games and clinics!

As the flowers bloom and the days grow warmer, we are excited to share some wonderful happenings in our library! This week, our students have been exploring the exciting stages of plant and animal growth. They have enjoyed reading classic springtime tales while also delving into real-world facts and photographs. The enthusiasm from our students has been infectious, and it’s heartwarming to see their creativity bloom.

Students also read Maya's Holi by Thrifty Umrigar, where they learned about Holi, the festival of colors, sharing, and love. They traveled with Maya as she visited her grandparents in India for the spring jubilee, enriching their understanding of diverse cultures.

Lastly, our Spring Book Fair with E. Shaver Bookseller will be held from May 5th-9th!

April 2- As the school year winds down, we are getting ready for Spring to arrive and preparing some wonderful decorations for our end of year recital. We are also making a lot of work with 3D components and exploring sculptural approaches to creating. Here are some photos of new work hanging up in our hallways from weeks of hard work.

Also!!! I will be Instructing an Art Camp this summer at HDS if you are interested in signing up your child(ren). It is open to upcoming 2nd-5th grade students from June 23-27th. Sign up here
