November 13th - November 17th

Community is the virtue for the months of November and December. Our goal is to focus on not only nurturing and celebrating our strong school community but also finding ways that we, as a school and as individuals, can support the greater community by participating in service projects.

We will have a canned food drive for Second Harvest Food Bank from November 6 through November 16. Details are located on the Eagle’s Nest.

We will come together as a community on November 17 to celebrate our blessings and gratitude at our annual Thanksgiving Feasts.

There will be additional opportunities to recognize the importance of community in the weeks to come. Be on the lookout for more information.

We had a great week in the library. PreK had a Veterans’ Day parade. In kindergarten we read a wonderful book about Veterans’ Day. The first graders were introduced to the My Weird School chapter books. These books are so funny!! In second grade we are using nonfiction books to identify text features. Third grade is completing a novel study of Wayside School. In fourth grade we discovered graphic novels. And in fifth grade we read Truce, about World War I.
