We had a wonderful whole school assembly on our virtue of the month, Kindness. In addition to having some 6th grade students share their thoughts about and experiences with kindness, the school community watched a video. The video showed students that kindness can come in many forms, and impact many people with one small gesture. Students will continue to revisit the concept of kindness throughout the month through discussions, read alouds, and mini-lessons.

Coming together as an entire school community is heart warming and has brought a sense of unity across our divisions. We will continue to find ways to help connect our students in different grade levels through things like book buddies and special projects.

Our Lower School Back to School Night is on Tuesday, September 12. Grades PreK-2 will begin at 5 p.m. Grades 3-5 will begin at 6 p.m. Classroom doors will open to parents 5 minutes before the teacher presentations begin. There will not be a presentation in the gym; however, the PTA Uniform Sale will be set up in our front lobby from 4:30 to 6:00.
