October 17th - October 21st

Our Eagles had a fun and productive week! PreK celebrated GLOW DAY last Friday with a themed dance party in their classroom! Our Fourth Grade Flag Football team finished out their season with a win, making this an UNDEFEATED season! First Grade concluded their study of space withe SPACE DAY where our astronauts reported to the turf field for some training!

Carpool Information - We appreciate the feedback about our carpool safety concerns. We have worked on coordinating the bell and the clock to ensure the bell rings at 8:15. Ms. Royal checks her watch every morning and if the bell rings early, she will have our helpers stay on duty until her iPhone reads 8:15. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The virtue of October is Responsibility. After reading a story to a grade level, we’ve engaged in a brief discussion about how one can demonstrate responsibility both at school and at home. Each class has made a  “Pledge of Responsibility” that is displayed on a pumpkin under our evergreen trees in the different buildings.

Looking Ahead:

Library News

We are busy being ENGINEERS this week.  In 4th Grade students built structures out of index cards after identifying engineering tips on how buildings are supported.  In 2nd Grade students designed and constructed their 3D bugs.  What a great way to celebrate Bugs Blonsky, one of our favorite books.
