September 5th - September 9th

As I walked through the halls and stepped into classrooms this week, I was filled with pride and amazement. I witnessed our talented and dedicated teachers working with students who were actively engaged in learning. Smiles and laughter filled Hancock Hall during lunch and happy children enjoyed recess on the playground. Lastly, the Kindness Trees are blooming!

*Next week there will be NO WHITE GATE CARPOOL. The Middle School is gone on their trip for the week.

Mark your calendars!

Library News

We are having so much fun in the library this year.  In PreK, we have read Pete the Cat books.  Pete left us a path to play on. Then he lost his buttons but our GREAT PreK students found them.  Then we went to Lion School!!!  In Kindergarten, we flew to France on the Concorde after reading A Book for Escargot.  Next week we are going to Space.  In 1st and 2nd grades, our students are practicing working in groups “Helping Harry”.  Ask them about this activity. In the Lower School our students are perfecting working in small groups while they saved “Fred” or played Fruit Basket Turnover.  Next week, we will begin reviewing the Dewey Decimal System and working on following directions.    Bob the Alien and the Shelf Elf will help us out!!
