Staff Spotlight
We are so thankful for ALL of our dedicated employees, and our school nurses are an amazing group that work hard to keep us healthy and present on campus for school. Whether or not you’ve had the pleasure of speaking with one of our nurses lately, I wanted to share a bit about them and highlight the great way that they work together to support all of us.
Akisha Lowe is a HDS parent and registered nurse. She typically works from home tracking COVID-19 cases on our campus. She notifies teachers of COVID-19 situations and personally communicates with every family who has a COVID-19 situation.
Marci Roberts is also an HDS parent and registered nurse. Another fabulous resource for our community, Marci is typically working from the nurse’s office one to two days a week. When she is not working on our campus, she also works in the hospital setting.
Suzannah Kurhajian is the newest member of our nursing team and the one you are most likely to find in our nurses’ office on campus. Suzannah joined our team a few months ago, and she previously worked in the hospital setting. She is usually here three to four days per week and loves working with the children.
All three of our nurses share the email account nurse@hancockdayschool.org and share information as they work together to support our students and school community.
Students in Action
This week we celebrated victories (Go Dawgs!) while exploring the arts and working hard in our academic classes, too! Basketball season is in full swing, and our student athletes are working hard on the court as well as in the classroom. It’s the midpoint of our second trimester, and our teachers will be reaching out with interim reports in the week ahead!
