Happy New Year!

This week we were thrilled to welcome our students back to campus! While we do have a handful of children joining us remotely for various reasons, the majority of our student body continues to attend school in person each day. We appreciate your support and honesty as we work together to keep our community well and present on campus for instruction.

Health & Wellness

Hygiene and mask wearing continue to be major points of emphasis as we begin 2021. We kicked off the year with a public service announcement about how and why we wear masks. We appreciate your support as we work together to keep conversations about mask wearing as positive and supportive as possible. Please remember that masks must be worn by parents when signing a child out of extended care in the afternoon.

Interim Reports

We are approaching the midpoint of the trimester! Our teachers will be completing interim reports for students who have averages of a 79% or below. These reports will be transmitted via email next Friday, January 15th.

Arriving on Time

Morning work is a critical part of our program, especially for our youngest students, and you can support your children (and our teachers) by developing the habit of arriving on time for school each day. Our instructional assistants and teachers must move inside of our buildings at 8:15 to begin their instructional days with their students. Families who arrive after 8:15 will need to park their vehicles on the curb and walk their children to the door of the building.

Did You Know…

This week Patty Wolbert was recognized with a Distinguished Service Award from the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA).  Mrs. Wolbert has been teaching at Hancock Day School for over thirty years, and during that time she has poured her heart and soul into literally hundreds of children and colleagues. We cannot thank Mrs. Wolbert enough for all of her contributions to our community.
