Quarantine Length Reduction
This week our HEAC committee announced a reduction in the length of required quarantine for individuals exposed to COVID-19. See below for details -
Students and adults who have confirmed exposure to COVID-19 can return to school after ten days of quarantine (returning to campus on day eleven) if they have not developed any symptoms of COVID-19.
Students and adults with a negative PCR and no COVID-19 symptoms can return to school after nine days of quarantine (returning to campus on day ten). Families who choose to have their child test for COVID-19 can have a PCR test administered on day seven. Most facilities can turn around a PCR test within 48 hours, so you can expect to receive results by day nine. One location we recommend for 24 hour PCR testing is My Nurse Now located at 319 Eisenhower Dr. (912)401-4633. Text GACOVID to 474747 upon arrival.
Masking on Campus
Parents, please support our faculty and staff by wearing a mask if you are out of your vehicle for any reason. This is especially important when you are signing your child in/out. We rely on all of the adults on campus to model appropriate mask wearing for our students, and we want to ensure that everyone stays well.
Mulan
Don’t forget to tune in to Mulan at 7pm this evening. Check your email for the Zoom link!
Admissions & Reenrollment
Re-enrollment contracts were sent electronically on Monday, January 25th. The entire process can be completed online in about fifteen minutes, and we really appreciate all of the families that have already taken the time to finalize their enrollment for next year. If your family has decided not to re-enroll for next year, please share that information with Cindy Drew at your earliest convenience so that we can plan accordingly.
Middle School Admissions Preview RSVP
We are excited to welcome you and your rising 6th grader to our Middle School Admissions Preview. While not required, our preview will be a great opportunity to tour the middle school, meet some teachers, and ask any questions you might have about our program. We are offering two sessions to promote social distancing. The preview will take place on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 9:30am and 11:00 am. Please CLICK HERE to RSVP. In order for this to be an informative session, we encourage only parents and rising 6th graders to attend. A short presentation will be held in Hancock Hall, followed by a tour of the middle school. If you are unable to attend, we will gladly send home some information. If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Drew, cdrew@hancockdayschool.org.

Did You Know…
We have been open in person for almost 100 days! We know it hasn’t always been easy, but we continue to feel thankful for our Hancock family. Together we have faced the challenges presented by this school year and learned from them - and in spite of them. As we look forward to the remainder of the year, we thank you in advance for your continued support!
