THANK YOU
While it’s fair to say that 2020 has not given us everything we hoped for, it has been a year that makes me feel grateful for everything that I have. Reflecting on the last 15 weeks of school, I feel so thankful for the Hancock community.
I am thankful for our team of medical experts who have been available around the clock to answer questions and keep us all well.
I am thankful for the honest and open communication from families. While we never want anyone to be sick, open communication regarding COVID-19 positive cases and exposures is critical.
I am thankful for our teachers who have worked tirelessly to teach students at home, and in person, and sometimes in both places at the same time.
I am thankful for our facilities staff that prioritizes the health of our children as they wipe and disinfect surfaces constantly.
I am thankful for our students who have persevered in the face of a global pandemic, learned to wear a mask to school, and continued to make responsible choices that protect themselves and others. I can tell when they are smiling behind their masks, and I am especially thankful to have students present on our campus each day.

December Events
December is always a busy time for schools and families. As we begin a new month, I want to highlight a couple important events and dates. Be sure to also check your class’s newsletter for specific announcements pertaining to your child’s grade level or class.
Thursday, December 10th is the last day to contribute toys for the Memorial Hospital toy drive.
Friday, December 18th is our last day of school before winter break and the day of our VIRTUAL holiday program. We will send you a link to the video for this. This is also an early release day for students with dismissals at 11:45 (green gate), 12:00 (gold gate), and 12:15 (white gate).
