There are a few upcoming dates with irregular dismissal times or no school for students. Understanding that these situations often require careful planning for many families, I want to draw special attention to the dates listed below --
Friday, October 30th - early dismissal with NO extended (11:45 Green Gate; 12:00 Gold Gate; 12:15 White Gate)
Friday, November 13th - Parent/Teacher Conferences - no school for students
We will share more details about conferences next week, but please note that this is not a school day for students.
Friday, November 20th - early dismissal with NO extended (11:45 Green Gate; 12:00 Gold Gate; 12:15 White Gate)
Previously scheduled as our Grandparents & Special Friends Day, we will honor our loved ones virtually and dismiss early.
Duke Talent Identification Program
We received word that the Duke Talent Identification Program, aka Duke TIP, is suspending operations through the spring of 2021. As a result, we will not be nominating students in grades 4,5,6, and 7 to that program this fall. Please look forward to the program's return in the fall of 2021.
Did You Know…
We amended our COVID-19 protocol this week to add that families with a pending COVID-19 test for any member of their household should not send their students to school on campus. You can read more details about this in Thursday’s email titled COVID 19 Protocol Addendum.
November Lunch Sign Up Deadline Reminder
The deadline for November lunches is TODAY Friday, October 23rd!
Monday-Papa John’s-2 slices of cheese pizza, an apple and a sugar cookie
Tuesday-Chick-Fil-A-sandwich plain or 8pc nuggets with chips and Oreo’s
Wednesday-Jason’s Deli-ham/cheese, turkey/cheese or a grilled cheese sandwich with chips, carrots or seasonal fruit. Also, a baked potato or a 6” personal cheese pizza.
Thursday-Moe’s-cheese quesadilla, chicken quesadilla or a chicken burrito with nacho chips and salsa
Friday-Jersey Mike’s-ham/cheese or turkey/cheese sandwich with Doritos and a cookie
To sign up, you need to go onto your FACTS account and click LUNCH from the menu bar. Click on the monthly option on the right top bar, click on your STUDENT’S name, click on CREATE WEB ORDER, click on your STUDENT’S name again and the offerings should appear. Click on your choices and make sure you do for EVERY week of the month for the days you are participating. Scroll down and hit SUBMIT AND PAY. Follow the same steps for your other child. The order will not come through unless that SUBMIT AND PAY part is done.
