Quarantine & Remote Learning Update
This week we welcomed back our first group of students who experienced quarantine, and remote learning, this school year. It was a happy day to see these students back on campus rather than through the Zoom lens!
We continue to believe that school on campus will be our norm for the year, but in the event that a quarantine and transition to remote learning is required for a group of students, I want to assure you that we will strive to make the experience as smooth as possible. If it is determined that a quarantine is required for your child(ren), you can expect to receive an email as well as a phone call from one of our nurses. We will work with students to help them collect materials needed for continued instruction during remote learning before you pick your child(ren) up that day. We will also be happy to collect books and distribute extra materials as needed in the days that follow. Within about 24 hours of students leaving campus we will provide a remote learning schedule that outlines plans to continue instruction through Zoom and pre recorded videos for both core classes and specials.
I share these details not because I believe that we will see more remote learning in the future, but because parents have asked questions about our process. We remain committed to meeting with our students in person, and we will continue to work toward that goal daily while prioritizing the health of our students.

Our teachers, coaches, and school administrators are all CPR certified. Middle school science teacher Lynda Durant is an American Heart Association CPR instructor, and in addition to teaching CPR to our 8th grade students, she also ensures that our faculty and staff members are always prepared in the event of a medical emergency.
